BJS Insurance

We hope this website will provide all involved in Football NSW (FNSW) with a clearer understanding of the various Insurances in place.

To assist all participants in their understanding of the insurance program we encourage Club officials to familiarize themselves with the intent of the program and to ensure that all Club members are aware of the protection afforded to them under the various insurances. Ensuring that members receive the one page flyer distributed by FNSW to Clubs at the commencement of each season will greatly assist player understanding of the Accident Support Program. Please note that FUTSAL players are not included in the Accident Support program as described later in this document , as FNSW have arranged separate insurance for FUTSAL.

It is important to recognize that the Accident Support Program detailed later in this document, is limited in the benefits provided , consistent with keeping the premiums at affordable levels. It is strongly recommended that participants in the sport purchase private Health Insurance & give consideration to the Top Up option referred to in this document, which enables Teams to purchase Loss of Income protection in addition to that provided under the Accident Support Program. We have made available for Season 2012 the opportunity for players to purchase  individual Personal Accident  Insurance, designed to provide Loss of Income benefits consequent upon injury or accident, 24 hours a day. ( See further details under “Accident Support Program “).

BJS Insurance Brokers has had many years of experience in the provision of sports Insurances & whilst your Accident Support Program provides only a basic cover, it is still very good value as FNSW has excellent buying power for this product due to the large number of participants in the sport. We have managed to avoid increases in premiums for several years, despite the reporting of many claims each year & the impact of increases in medical costs in particular over that period. Concurrently a number of benefits under the policy have been increased at no additional cost.
