BJS Insurance

We hope this website will provide all involved in Football NSW (FNSW) with a clearer understanding of the various insurances in place for Clubs, Players,  Officials, Volunteers etc.

It is recommended that Officials & Players familiarise themselves with the benefits of the “Accident Support Program” in particular by reading the FLYER  which can be  accessed under the heading of “Policy Documents”.   The FLYER will assist in your understanding of BENEFITS PROVIDED, HOW TO MAKE A SPORTS INJURY CLAIM,  ACCESS TO CLAIM FORMS & details of how to reach your Insurer for guidance in handling your claim. ( There are staff dedicated to assist  FNSW claimants.)

Clubs may also access & print their 2013 Certificates of Currency for Public Liability insurance under “Policy Documents” on this site.

A brief summary of other FNSW  insurances including Public/Professional Liability  & Directors & Officers liability under the heading of “Insurance Products” is also available on this FNSW site.  Copies of the 2013 insurance policies are available on the FNSW site for your convenience if required.

NOTE:  FUTSAL NSW clubs continue to be included in the FNSW insurances.

TOP UP INSURANCE

It is important to recognize that the Accident Support Program detailed in this document, is limited in the benefits provided, consistent with keeping premiums at an affordable level. It is strongly recommended that participants in the sport purchase private Health Insurance & give consideration to purchasing the Top Up product  which is designed to supplement the Loss of Income benefit provided under the group arrangement.  Cover is only available on a “Team Basis”  & enables these players to purchase additional Loss of Income benefits outside of the FNSW cover. Also, individual players particularly those who are self employed, should consider purchasing Personal Accident  insurance for themselves by contacting BJS Insurance Brokers or their usual insurer. (BJSIB is available on 03 98604225 to discuss the “Top Up “ option).

BJS Insurance Brokers has had many years of experience in the provision of sports insurance & whilst your Accident Support Program provides only basic cover, it is still very good value as FNSW has excellent buying power for this product due to the large number of participants in the sport. We & FNSW have managed to avoid increases in premiums for several years despite the reporting of many claims each year & the impact of increases in medical costs in particular over the period.

Concurrently a number of additional benefits under the policy have been secured at no additional cost over the years.
